Originally scheduled to air at 8 EST, the Dillon Bates announcement on ESPNU was lined up to be one of the bigger UT-related events in recent memory. However, it then got moved to 9:30 EST. Vol fans began to sweat a little bit. Did Saban get a last minute phone call in? Is Muschamp doing something fishy? Bates then tweeted out that his decision would air between two 7 on 7 games without a new time stated. Vol Nation became glued to their TVs, Twitter feeds, and message boards as they awaited The Decision. ESPNU did not care though. They chose to air commercial break after commercial break, bringing back memories of the LeBron James Decision. Eventually, Bates made his choice and chose the University of Tennessee. However, during that time, a lot of major events occurred while waiting for ESPNU to air the decision.
