6 Things Dave Hooker Learned at SEC Media Days
Here are some of my random (but pertinent in my opinion) thoughts on SEC Media Days:
1. It’s a zoo
ESPN had two makeshift studios set up. There were so many live shows on radio row that there were stations set up in the adjacent shopping mall. There were 1,239 journalists in attendance. That’s a new high. Remember, this comes at a time when many newspapers are cutting back expenses, which means less travel and reporters. Moreover, the new trend seems to be bringing attractive women to the event to help nab interviewees. Once a mens’ club, SEC Media Days is now a fashion event for some.
